England v West Indies Test/ODI/Twenty20 Series ** Spoilers **

Think this is going to go the same way as Australia series. Windies offering some serious promise for 3/5 days and never quite managing to capitalise when given a chance. Lets see if the english batting can stand up after their dismal performances away from home.

Rather a slow day of cricket, but still hugely enjoyable. The main problem for the West Indies is Chris Gayle scored 128* off 62 balls in the IPL and Ramnaresh Sarwan scored 117 for Leicestershire, why they aren't playing for WI is beyond my understanding.

Anyway, to the match, hopefully we can get some good batting in tomorrow and put some pressure on the the WI second innings. I would like us to still be batting at tea on Saturday, but I would just accept a good batting display after the horrors of the winter.

Could do with a bit of help here
Im thinking of taking my father-in-law to the ODI @ the oval next month. Thing is I have never been there, only been to 20/20 at Lords so have no idea what block to go for?
ODS block 16? £62.50
bedser stand upper - pricey!! £90.00
Peter May stand £50

There are other seats available as well

I have no idea and would really appreciate someone giving me some help here...

Bedser upper stand could be worth it!

I was there a few months back for the India ODI. I was within touching distance of every single player, they walked right past us to get into the changing room. Was also quite close to John Major :p

EDIT: Of course it's quite a big stand, so you might also find yourself several metres away from them, depending on what seat you get allocated.

Windies trudging along nicely here, doing nothing more than they need to. Not looking likely for rain but if they can survive today who knows what can happen.

I'm really glad to see the Windies making a real go of this especially without the likes of Gayle and Sarwan around. I thought they wouldn't even turn up to the party but my goodness they have. It will be a jittery first hour tomorrow I'd think.
