Yup, I agree. It hasn't made it easy with an early start with the Europa League, as well as the hard league start.
It remains to be seen whether it was just Fulham away (which is likely), or whether its Hodgson's methods away from home. Hodgson is big on defending and the squads positional play/structure, but with players like Gerrard he must give a bit more freedom.
Even the Fulham players who were there to revive their careers were saying Hodgson's training was a PITA, he plays 11v11 type stuff, working day in day out on their structural play. Davies etc were all ecstatic once they were playing 3-6v type games under Hughes.
Obviously the hard work paid off, though!
