the fact that there are no prem teams in the semi final shows just what has happened to English football this season.........it backwards.

The sale of Ronaldo and Alonso has certainly contributed to what has been a poor standard of quality from the supposed top four this year. The other teams in the league have caught up, and so has the rest of the Europe.

The UTD fans need to wake up a bit here they all seem to be on their high horses!

Lets be honest the UTD squad isnt all that you have one exceptional player in Rooney and the rest are lagging behind. You didnt do enough on the night should have got another, you missed chances and Bayern took the ones they needed.

Time to get over it that team isnt strong enough to be in a final imo.

What are you on about? The first half should show you we have a number of players up there with Rooney, particularly Valenica and Nani were superb. Rooney was basically a passenger for the whole game and we still went 3-0 with no problems but all teams are going to have one player better than the others.

We are lacking in depth but I hope that will be addressed in the summer.

By your own admission Rafael was holding his arm, if you hold someone's arm from behind when they're running that'll hinder them good enough.

Yup, you are suppose to be winning the ball, thats a cynical foul and can easily earn a yellow depending on the game and the ref, a team chasing a game will always have and influence on a ref.

Thats the point though, he wasn't hindered. He stopped of his own accord so he could throw an arm at Rafael.

And he should have been yellow carded for that at least...that much i agree with but Rafael shouldnt have got himself into such a state ie running after him trying to catch him and by doing so, grabbed him and hindered him.

I think a lot of people expected Real to easily beat Lyon and look what happened there. Not seen them play much but when they get going they certainly seem dangerous.

I might also add that people have and will **** themselves silly over the prospect of signing Ribery but Rafael had him in his pocket tonight, and I think that contributed to Ribery's massive overreaction to being tugged.

Tbh it doesnt really bother me as whoever goes through will probably be spanked by Barca...although Inter are a good team so im definitely looking forward to that semi final.
