He was actually, Masherano had one final tug on Valencia's arm just he released all contact in the area
Huh?
So there wasn't contact in the area?

Yeah it looks to me like Mascherano is still holding him when they move into the area.

No in the area he had one final tug on him before releasing, he obviously stopped raping him in the area because he didn't want to give away a pen
But, being a high profile game, I think it's likely that Mascherano grabbed him, then he decided to get into the box so he could down for a penalty rather than a free kick
Tbh Pen or not makes no different we have 80mins to put in an effort and try something new we didnt we lost played bad thats it >.<
Pains me to say it UTD were better than us today

He wasn't being held inside the area though
Or are you just responding to skippi's post rather than the incident today.

Rather than going through the whole 'yes he was', 'no he wasn't' process, we'll just agree to disagree.
It makes a difference. Morale of both teams changes, attitudes of both teams changes, maybe even tactics change. Torres might have played a lot better otherwise

More to the post. It was a questionable pen but we are talking about a few inch's- very hard to blame that on the ref/lineman. What liverpool fans really should be questioning is why no defender is coming to meet a UTD player that is running into the box.
could have sent Torres off for being a whiny spiteful brat.
