English League Football ** spoilers ** [24th - 28th September 2010]

Their attack isn't great. People seemed to have seen an entirely different game to me last weekend but they were dire in the final 3rd. They didn't in my eyes deserve to score. Their goal also came as a result of a scramble, two Arsenal players failing to score and it then falling kindly to Bent.

They were truly dreadful last when they entered Arsenal's half last week, it's rare to see such a huge lack of ideas and invention from a PL club. Awful.

I think their best two players at the moment are Jovanovic and N'Gog, only going on the limited amounts that I've seen. Is Gerrard still playing ****? I know Torres is still struggling but they will just have to put up with him being utter horse **** in the hopes that he finds some form before he gets crippled with injuries again.

I blame the Sunderland equaliser on Clichy, if I have to blame someone that is. He didn't even look before the clearance, he just hoofed it and it bounced off somebody right into the path of Bent. Funny that, on the weekend we played against a player called Bent, in the Carling Cup we played against a manager...

Wow, at least our Medical staff have been working. Kamara could be back for tomorrow (about a month early), after completing 70 mins behind closed doors. Johnson could be back in first team training next week, so he should be OK in next 3 weeks or so. Dembele is about 2-3 weeks away at least. Stockdale is nearly back too, just started training again.

Lend them to Arsenal for a few weeks yeah??

Last week Steve Bruce said he'd never send his side out to foul opponents but wanted to stop Arsenal playing fairly - ok, no worries. Except as it happens there were a quite a few meaty fouls, and of course Wilshere ended up being dumped off the pitch.

Now Di Matteo has come out and said he wants to be 'hard and fair' against us.

Is this the new but safe for kids way of saying .... 'get in Arsenal's faces', or should I not say a thing because at least now the public is formally warned that tomorrow will have an X rated moment in it?

I predict Wilshere to get a bad injury soon, especially considering the way that our recent opponents have been tackling him. I'd also stick my neck out and say that if he did get his leg broken in a tackle, for example, we'd have a newspaper article a few days in a row about bad tackling and how players need more protection and then it would all be forgotten but a week later, he isn't Lampard, Rooney or Gerrard.

The ramsey tackle really isnt that bad...imo Shawcross was just not quick enough and 100% went for the ball. and if you want to talk about injuries how about Kolarov,Boateng,Lescott,Bridge,Richards,Balotelli and M Johnson.

Should be interesting today. As said last night hopefully W Brom will be by and large fair within the laws of the game, they're not really a dirty side if I remember.

Vermaelen's not back. Ideally we'll get into a decent lead early on and Djourour off for Koscielny (or vice versa), i.e. whowever partners Squillaci. It probably won't be as easy as that, but then to be fair if this was a Champ's League game we'd expect the full side to start that very weekend. Nasri often tires out quickly so I don't think he'll start today. Rosicky should take any chance to score, merely for the fact a goal would do him the world of good. Arshavin has hopefully been practising his shooting, especially those first time shots that come across him....not holding my breath.

That's not the point. I don't know how they all got injured, but I take it that list was made purely on the back of dodgy fouls? Or a shopping trolley? :p

Are you a side that has been victim of the year in year out acceptable (from public and pundit's point of view) style of football where in order to stop us playing opponents are allowed 'to get in [our] faces'? This of course often and as a direct result goes well beyond the line between hard and fair play, to down right career pausing injuries. Or in the case of Eduardo, the end of it in England.
