English League Football ** spoilers ** [2nd - 3rd October 2010]

You'd think.

Either half the price to try and attract more people (remember you've got enough stewards / police for a full ground) or just let kids in for a pound or give schools free tickets, just get the attendance up.

Perhaps, you have to look at the local population and how well in general the side is supported. We put on cheapo Carling Cup and sometimes FA Cup tickets but that's because irrespective, we fill the stadium.

I just don't think there's enough interest in Wigan.

Edit - or perhaps they are cheap and that's still not enough to entice people down. Wasn't it Wigan who had like 60 away fans for one game on a bank holiday weekend recently?

Why are so many Arsenal fans expecting doom and gloom at Chelsea? Is something fundamentally wrong with your squad at the moment? Seems odd one of the best teams in the league is expecting a shafting by anyone :S

Not anyone, W Brom was a blip but we're generally optimistic. :P Don't forget we're playing the league's best side at the moment.

To be honest it's the same story as last year, which is similar to the last 5. Our squad is very thin in terms of experience compared to Chelsea and that really benefited them last year when they utterly mauled us.

Also beating them with our first team would be a challenge as it is, but without Cesc, Vermaelen & RvP, and a continuing dodgy keeper situation - well, that's the spine gone if that makes any sense.

The number of people in those stands is, tbh, embarassing.

If you had that many empty seats, you'd just do a stupid cheap offer to get people in surely?

Yeah, although IIRC...don't they do that already? Soon they'll be hiring people to sit in the seats like at the World Cup :p

Yeah, would've loved to see how well QPR are playing. They're getting quite a lot of praise at the moment.

Git :p

Like greeznlizard just said...its mainly due to our weak defenders and shoddy GK's..plus having Fab, RVP and Vermaelen out through injuries doesnt help us at all.

Im hoping that we do beat Chelski or at least end up as a draw but being realistic i dont think that will happen...but hopefully we can do a City on them.

Fulham team will be: Schwarzer, Salcido, Hangeland, Hughes, Baird, Davies, Etuhu, Murphy, Duff, E. Johnson and Dempsey most likely.

Holloway obviously thinks we're there for the taking because he's said he'll tell his team to go all out attack to see how good our defence really is.

Considering how much of the ball we're letting the opposition see under Hodgson I really hope Reina's on form because they'll have plenty of goalscoring opportunities. I guess the game could be decided on how much our attacking players are allowed to breath tomorrow.

Don't worry, pretty sure he said similar before the Arsenal game.

Good free kick, Wigan 1 - 0 up

Ahh fair enough :) Yeah to be honest I had completely forgotten about your keeper situation.

Quite a few changes for Man Utd.

Team:

VDS, Rafa, Rio, Vidic, O'Shea, Nani, Fletcher, Scholes, Anderson, Owen, Macheda.

Sunderland aren't an easy team to beat, I'd have liked to see Berbatov playing but I assume he's on the bench.
