English League Football ** spoilers ** [2nd - 3rd October 2010]

Sunderland aren't an easy team to beat, I'd have liked to see Berbatov playing but I assume he's on the bench.

Yeah he is, Bebe on the bench too so might see some of him, which can only be good. Looking forward to see how Owen and Macheda do against a resilient Sunderland, who always seem to do well against the big teams at home.

Sunderland: Mignolet, Onuoha, Turner, Bramble, Bardsley, Malbranque, Cattermole, Henderson, Zenden, Bent, Elmohamady.
Subs: Gordon, Mensah, Da Silva, Riveros, Reid, Ferdinand, Gyan.

Man Utd: Van der Sar, Rafael Da Silva, Ferdinand, Vidic, O'Shea, Nani, Scholes, Fletcher, Anderson, Macheda, Owen.
Subs: Kuszczak, Evra, Berbatov, Smalling, Hernandez, Gibson, Bebe.

Yup, he's on the bench. I'm quite surprised he's not playing as well, I think that someone with his finesse and vision will be needed to break Sunderland down.

Am looking forward to seeing Anderson on the left. He's never quite hit his straps at United, always thought highly of him when I saw him for Porto though.

Positives:

Rafael again :)
Bebe on the bench

Negatives:

Anderson isn't a winger
O'Shea left back?
Macheda and Owen? There is rotation and then there's being ridiculous

I hope Fergie doesn't regret putting out a weaker team again. Think Hernandez deserved a game after his goal midweek (I thought it would be him and Berbatov up front tbh)

Kick Off delayed by 20 minutes as the United dressing room ceiling has collapsed due to a burst pipe. Come on Steve, theres mind games then there is sabotage, bit extreme dont you think :p

Draw for Man Utd, Nickg to declare Ferguson "incompetent" and how he should have signed Messi/Higuain/the entire Brazil squad years ago, world to continue spinning.

I'm not sure why they need to delay the game. Surely the safest place for the players in this scenario is on the pitch?

Wonderful. ESPN India has decided to show me West Brom - Bolton instead as a result of that. Cheers Sunderland :(

0-1 Villa Albrighton - he's look decent in this game and in a few others.

Johnson on one side and Albright on the other in a few years for England?

Warnock smacks Gomes on the back of the head and the keeper doesn't make a meal out of it.

Heskey could very well have gone down after Bassong was over him for Villa's goal.

*faints*
