The Mission is simply the best particularly the piece entitled "The River"

That or the main theme/love theme from Cinema Paradiso

Felt the music in The Untouchables was a watered down mix of the two above.

I guess not his best, but The Thing does have a haunting soundtrack.

The soundtrack is also very rare. £80 is the cheapest I've seen it.

Totally off topic but I'm starting to really appreciate scores in films probably even more so than compared to the "official sound track".

E.g. Transformers, Stardust etc., are two examples I can think of where the score was better than the other main tracks in the film.
