My parents had some miss sold PPIs back recently too, one for £5k and one for £700, still waiting to hear about the third!
Really pleased for them as both my parents got made redundant last year at the same time and really struggled for a while, talk of selling the house etc came about, me and my missus moved in with them for 8 months to help pay half the bills (4 adults + 1 baby in a 3 bed semi, got a bit cramped at times). Luckily they've both found jobs again and had a little surprise when the PPI claims came back positive this month

How? Mum + Dad in one room, you and your bird in the other, baby even gets its own room. Sounds... convenient to me.
Sounds convenient when you put it like that but it's not as easy as it sounds on paper
It's more the size of the living space, old fashioned terraces with 2 reception rooms downstairs are best for this. Although the kitchen is usually a small extension, it's a fairly good compromise.
