Try resetting the cmos then starting it up.

Unfortunately scenarios like this often mean a dead motherboard, essentially a new bios chip which can be hard to come by.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

yeah i resetted cmos jumper but still no luck.

i only thought of updating because my pc was always unstable, like it would freeze for no reason and it wasnt the fault of the RAM, CPU.

on the Epox site it said you can order a new BIOS chip for about 17euros.probably will have to pay for that, i was just wondering if i would be able to get one from OCUK or from the warranty(i know its my fault but would hurt to try)

any ideas?

cheers so far people

You could use here.
I am not affiliated to that site in any way shape of form, but I have found him easy to do business with.
