I've checked the carts and they're all okay (according to the software indictator).

Any idea what the problem might be please?

Assuming you've run cleaning cycles and it's printing pink!

I read an article some time ago and it suggested that the quickest and least complicated way to to get your prints the same as the colours displayed on your monitor is to print off a test print, then when it's dry adjust the colours on your monitor to those on your print. I haven't tried it myself as I use Adobe Gamma Monitor, a small program which comes with PhotoShop.

I did a search on the internet regarding cleaning Epson Printers. One site had suggested putting Heat Sink Tubing (like see through straws) over each of the ink nozzles and putting a clear window cleaning solution in the tube (cut to about one and a half inches) and leaving the solution to drip through the nozzles. There are a number of things you can find on a google search.

Soak the heads in some strong alcohol - I think meths would probably help some, too, but don't quote me on that.

Give them a good 2 hours soaking, shaking the heads halfway through.

The heads form part of the printer with an Epson, unfortunately to shake the head one would have to shake the whole printer.

You can get to the print cartridges buy pushing the button you use to change the ink cartridges, this moves the cartridge block to an accessable position. Then switch off the printer at the mains, NOT on the printer (I pull the plug out of the socket). The cartridge holder block will now run free and easy along its metal rod. I've sometimes put folded kitchen towel beneath the cartridge and poured warm water over the nozzles (the water is then absorbed by the towel). Having said all that I've resigned two to the scrap head almost a month after the warranty ran out!

Have you tried?....

Open printers and faxes.Right click your printer and select printing preferences, maintenance then do a nozzle check. If this is showing not all the colours properly then it does show a blocked print head.I have had this problem in the past and have done 2-3 head cleaning cycles then if it is still not clear turn the printer off over night then try a nozzle check again and it may have cleared.

Thanks lads sorted now!

Upon inspection I noticed that I hadn't remove the 'plastic strip' on one of the carts :o :D :D

Comedy genius! :D

You are not the first person to do that and you won't be the last. Glad it is sorted.
