Epson Stylus SX535WD suddenly not recognising compatible cartridges

Got Think ink cartridges in the magenta, cyan and yellow slots and another 3rd party (nothing to identify on cartridge) for the black.

Everything has been fine until last week, when I printed something mainly in black that had stripes in parts of the black printing. So I did a nozzle clean on the menu of the printer. Since then get a message on the screen of the printer "Warning. Cannot recognise the following cartridge(s). Install them correctly" Then lists the colours affected - magenta, cyan and yellow with the Epsom codes. On searching the internet, tell me to remove the cartridges affected. Switch off, switch back on - then prompt should be for inserting the cartridges back in again. This isn't the case as still get the same warning message when the MCB cartridges are not there.

Why can't Epsom let me print on black alone when there's no colour?

Because Epsom wants you to print with their stupidly expensive print cartridges and the DRM chip in that remanufactured cartridge most likely failed.

Strange how all three stopped working when I did a nozzle clean because the black, the only cartridge which is working, had stripes in some places
