Eternal Question: Jaffa Cakes - Biscuit or a cake?

Well, I'm starting a huge double shift (9am - 6pm then 1am - 8am then 8am - 5pm) joy. So popped to get me some junk and red bull.

Picked up a 36 pack of jaffa cakes and then the question struck me, are Jaffa cakes a biscuit... or a cake?

I don't think it's in it's name, I think the Jaffa Cake is a biscuit... controversial I know.
