I couldn't make a decision until the full details were laid out. I don't support full withdrawal from the EU, more of a renegotiation of position towards a Norway style agreement with more reasonable net contributions and only the trade related laws.

If that wasn't an option, I'd choose to stay in.

The other, oft overlooked issue (the same is often overlooked by Scottish and Welsh nationalists) is what deal we would be able to achieve... That might also be enough to swing the vote one way or another for me. Leaving is not simply a unilateral decision, there will be consequences, and just as we would argue for the best deal, so would everyone else.

I'm going with yes at the moment as I think we're better as a member than not generally speaking including (perhaps especially) for legislation such as the ECHR. However I do think that there could be some revision to the powers and membership requirements or at least some discussion about it would not go amiss.

This is just one aspect of the deal that would have to be discussed. The rest of the EU might not want to agree to that.

It isn't talk of punative action, any more than the suggestion that if Scotland separated from the UK, that there would be an expected deal and withdrawl of UK paid for industries and setups from Scotland would occur. It isn't punative, it's related to who paid for what, and it's entirely justified to discuss when talking about separating from the current situation to a new one. Both sides are going to fight for the 'best' deal for them, which will, of course, be the worst deal for the other side, and so a compromise will be hammered out.

That's because its never happened... That makes it somewhat difficult to see how it will actually work, and what deal would be on the table for a new relationship.
