A new era in world sport gets underway in August as Glasgow and Berlin host the inaugural European Championships – an exciting new multi-sport event bringing together a collection of the continent’s leading sports.
To be staged every four years, the European Championships will be a new highlight on the global sporting calendar, elevating the status of its competitors and their performances during an 11-day celebration of world-class sport.
Delivered in partnership with several leading European sports federations, it includes the existing European Championships for athletics, aquatics, cycling, gymnastics, rowing and triathlon, with a new golf team championships due to take place at the famous Gleneagles PGA Centenary Course.
More than 3,000 athletes will travel to Scotland, while 1,500 athletes will compete in Berlin. And with a potential television audience of more than 1 billion across Europe set to watch the action, Glasgow and Berlin will be in the spotlight of broadcasters offering free-to-air coverage across the continent.

I just watched Laura Kenny in the women's cycling 4 rider team pursuit in the Velodrome and they got our first gold already.
