European long weekend, end of November. Where?

I'm sure there'll be sex. But I don't see the point in spending £150 a night on a hotel when you can get a perfectly decent one for a third of that. Some people love nice hotels, and will spend money elsewhere. I'm not that fussed about a nice hotel (as long as the location is good and it's clean), as I want to spend money elsewhere.

You can stay at nice hotels for way, way less than £150 a night. Staying in a nice hotel is something I find important but I never, ever pay £150 a night. I'm sure the 'I always fly First Class and get my butler to pick me up' crowd will scoff at my definition of nice hotels but shop around and you can find hotels from brands like Hilton, Marriott, Holiday Inn and Sheraton for really rather tasty rates far, far lower than £150. They are easily nice enough for a nice weekend away without feeling like you've cheaped out on the hotel.
