Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone can shed any light on how europeans go about measuring trousers?!

For example here is a German's measurements for some W32/L34 jeans....

Huefte: 41cm Schritt: 28cm Beinlaenge gesamt: 114cm Beinlaenge ab Schritt: 86cm Schlag: 27cm

Translated.....

Hip: 41 cms of step: 28-cm leg length whole: 114-cm leg length from step: 86 cms of blow: 27 cms

Any ideas why the waist is so small even though it's meant to be a 32" waist? Do they only measure half, and if so from where to where? Also what is 'of step' and 'blow'? LOL

Thanks for any useful input.

Yes, but I need to know if that's what they've done and if so from where to where at the waist?!

Do they really only measure half waist in some strange way?

I would imagine they measure half the waist (which would be true as 16inches is approximately 41cm) and surely if they measure half it would be from front to back? Unless you have different sized hips.

Ok thanks.

Basically I'm going to buy some from Germany and the guy has 100% feedback for over 8,000 items so I think I can trust him when he says 1 month return policy.

Thanks again.
