I'm gonna try this. I haven't played BFBC2 since a few weeks after it was launched so maybe I'll ease myself back in, as long as it isn't just everyone sniping and nobody paying attention to objectives like it was when I used to play.

I'm not pre-judging anyone, merely reporting on the experiences I've had. I don't see anything wrong with that. It's not like I go into a new game, a french guy joins and I go "Oh ffs, we're going to have one of those over serious french types". Everyone starts on a clean slate with me regardless of their colour or creed. I couldn't care less about their background as long as they are a decent person.
I'm merely reporting on my collective experiences.

I find it amusing that people get so worked up about race and have little understanding about what racism actually is.
I bet most of the people getting their knickers in a twist haven't actually experienced any racially motivated discrimination but are just looking for something to moan about.
It is on a lot of servers but if u find a well moderated clan server you are generally ok.

every pub game i have of l4d2 and i'm lobby leader now consists of me checking each profile to see where they're from, if it's french or russian, i instantly boot them.
i've got 3 french people on my friends list, and they're decent gamers - never rage, and always help you out. shame their fellow countrymen can't be as decent

Sorry, was mostly aimed at the OP as your post was a good counter arguement to the main theme of this thread, as we now have 2 experiences on either end of the stick.
Even if you still don't like the thread, are you going to lose 'all' respect for him?
I would have thought you'd still have quite a bit left?

This thread is a bit tiresome and indeed bordering on racism. I'm not sure how that doesn't seem obvious when you're stating that everyone of a certain race is annoying in some way.

I used to be able to tell what country someone was from on UT2004 just by the way they played.
You could always guarantee that the person running you down as hard as possible with a mini gun on constantly was German. Same as the person always running round a corner backwards away from you with a shield even if you had no weapons was French and the guy headshotting everybody with a Lightning Gun was Finnish. It just stems from the fact that people from the same country play together more on local servers than on international ones (I always look for UK servers), so countries develop their own individual playing styles from that.
Russians always seemed to be OK to me tbh. At least in clan matches anyway. Fairly professional and skilled, although every country has its share of tards.
The Americans are the worst, arrogant (everyone thinks they are some form of pro), generally the most annoyingly vocally and quite pants at actually playing the game (My old team had no problem dealing with the USA Nr 1 team at the time when we did an over the pond exhibition match on UT TV).
