Event/DJ speakers

We're moving into a new, large office space which we're also planning to host events in. That and the usual internal parties/PR evenings.

Where should I be looking for standing speakers? Probably just stereo, with flexible connectivity, whether that's Bluetooth, a laptop or a turntable via an amp.

Budget? Happy to be advised based on quality, preferably around £1000, but if cheaper is as good then great, absolute maximum up to £2000.

What sort of size are you talking about? Large is a fairly relative term, and advising on suitable speakers to fill a "large" space is obviously going to vary, especially given your wide ranging budget.

That's fair! Current space is 10,000sq ft, largest open space after fit-out will be ~4,000sq ft including a mezzanine level. Both 7-9m high.

JBL has always been the go to for anything I've had to do with that kind of thing.

Any specifics?

This might shock some, but I'm going to recommend Bose.

The Pro8 is around £1300. The bigger Pro16 is £1800.
