everquest 2 newbies and start overs

right ive ordered everquest 2 + expansion pack it should be here thursday or friday.
Anyway i was wondering if theres anyone who would like to hook up and play through the game together as ill probably find it a little hard i currently reading through the online guide and it sounds a little harder than wow.
So is anyone up for it if you are i would put in a lot more hours than i would going solo.
 
im just about to order it but i noticed two versions but im not sure which one is should get:

Everquest II (2): Kingdom Of The Sky (Original Game + Expansion)£14.99
Everquest II (2) + Desert Of Flames (Original Game + Expansion Pack)£9.99
 
i think desert of flame is for content for around 45 to 60? and kingdom of sky if for 60 to 70 stuff. i got mine with kingdom of sky but only cos i found it for £10.99 :)

I just started up the other day, on the runnyeye server, char name is morfurae, currently lvl 14 :)

It will hardly make any difference to the beginning of the game, I'd go for Desert of Flames since it's cheaper and it's also the first expansion pack.
 
ok ill buy that one then :)

After reading the huge and helpful guide im still not sure on what character to be. When playing wow i really enjoyed being a undead warlock cause he could do pretty good damage with his green fire ball and had a cool imp.

edid:stevie wants to be good alignment so i cant be a necromancer so what class should i be.

i started again last week an now lvl 18, being mostly kept alive by Mr Frost above :-)

Gotta say im loving it !

Well if a certain jersey retailer would ship mine id be on for the weekend, but its not gone out yet so I may not make the Friday launch.

Wont get on over the weekend either, so its likely to be Monday for me unless they ship today.
 
If you get any pack with an expansion get Kingdom of the Sky. Desert of Flames is a level40+ only place so I would'nt get to worried about that one yet. (not sure of Kingdom of the Sky level requirements)

What classes are people thinking of starting btw :-)?
 
I'm a warlock but if you wanna pimp it, go for the swashbuckler

Like I said above though, you should seriously consider joining a PvP server such as Nagafen. Really does give you so much more to do. Sure its annoying at times but its also so very satisfying at others!
