EVGA 780i any owners?

Just wondered if anyone else using one of these?
and what you've managed to clock to? and with what, if any? problems encountered :confused:

Yes, I've got one - the non-*** version.

It won't run with any degree of stability with all four RAM slots populated.

It won't run RAM in EPP mode at all with all slots populated.

I've suffered every BIOS from P04 to the current P08, and they're all a POS.

I run it at stock - I've given up all attempts at clocking it.

I don't think its just the EVGA ones either. I litterally just replaced my MSI 780i because it got to the point where it wasn't even stable at stock speeds. I'm running sli and couldn't stand the thought of using another Nvidia chipset so went X58 with an i7 cpu instead

I had an XFX 780 which is exactly the same board, i had the same problems as aaronhowe. and have also gone X58, what a difference!

I have a EVGA 780i non f-t-w and im well impressed with it upgraded from a 680i as that failed on me after a year.

Not attempted to overclock yet as ive got bored of overclocking ( was doing it for about 3 years ) and i just cant be bothered anymore lol

Thanks, Just wondered. I have the non *** board, its clocked fine to 3.2 but I've hit a sticking point, its also stable at 3.4 but the thing wont cold boot.

2nd boot is perfect

so looking for peeps who have got past 3.4ghz perhaps i could pinch there settings and give them a try

or peeps who have overcome these probs.
