EVGA 8800GT - did anyones ship today ?

Get your's yet Apuk?

Got mine yesterday but didnt have time to 'play' as I was off to Blackpool to see The Verve in concert! :D

Here's some stock speed benchmarks using 3dmark06 & Crysis..

(Crysis SP Demo is set @ 1680x1050, GFX settings at High)

using Nvidia Forceware 169.04 BETA drivers

I like the fact you're getting that at 1680x1050 for Crysis.

Will be running it on 1280x1024 so should easily do the job.

I'm a bit surprised EVGA are planning to ship CRYSIS with this card.
i don't think it quite cuts it at high resolutions without O/C'ing
or unless you have a quad core CPU.
Bioshock runs at 60FPS with everything turned on at 1680x1050.
Crysis's detail has to knocked down to medium to get 60FPS at same res.

For anyone thinking of buying, I would advise you wait for a new G92 GTS with maybe 1GB of RAM. That would be more 'futureproof' than this card.

These cards are doing much better than nvidia had planned, hopefully this means than the GTS 512mb will be even better than the GTS. As my 7900GS is playing CoD4 well at 1680x1050 I might just save all the GT hassle and wait for a newer card, preferably one with decent 2 PCI slot cooler as im never gonna bother with SLI ;)

I pre ordered the Crysis edition one too :( I've just build a new computer from scratch and I've got everything ready (including a new desk and monitor) but I'm without the much anticipated 8800 GT. Another lonesome week!
