EVGA GTX 680 High temps & crashing.

I would suggest being a bit more "assertive". OcUk should be handling this for you. I think DSR is out of the equation if you have already said it was faulty, but you'll need someone more clued up than me to confirm or deny it.

Email me your details if you want I will make sure this is done first thing monday morning. Or go through OCUK ([email protected] please copy Dominik Ungermann <[email protected])

I didn't really think about it til I read this but my 680 will hit 82c whilst gaming, is this a problem?? It idles around 35 or so.

I run fraps and precision x while I play just to keep an eye on things.

As said earlier in the post if you can keep the card temps below 70c this will give the best performance.

If your getting 82c max its a bit warm for a gtx 680 but not serious. Try running a few benchmarks to make sure it does not go above 82c. Also have a look at the cooling in your case to see if you can improve things.

Glad you getting that sorted by EVGA. The kfa2 is one of the highest overclocked 680 cards. the overclock is so high (As in this case) - quite a few cards are failing after a few mins into windows, and games especially.

I wouldn't worry so much, as you're not the first and neither will you be the last.

You can set up a more aggressive fan profile in Precision X. It's fairly simple, a graph with heat and rpms and points to set.

Total Noob question of the day for those with previous RMA experience ;)

When sending things back for RMA, do you package it all up in the original box with all manuals etc and ship that back, or is it just the card itself ?

Cheers.

Original box helps as obviously it'll be well packaged, but not a necesity. They are not interested in cables or manuals.
