My EVGA X58 board just arrived...

I'll post some pics of the board and the build later, then hopefully I'll get some benchmarks done with a 4870x2 and then 1-3 260 216s.

Only a 920 CPU as there didn't seem a lot of point in getting either the 940 or 965 as the 920 clocks nearly as well.

A+ :D - i'd do the same.

No point spending the extra on the next models up when that kind of cash goes a long way towards GPU's and ram. :)

Lucky sod, interested to see how SLI fares, as i will be carrying my current cards over to an i7 build in the new year :)

Looks nice!

The NB heatsink on the EVGA board looks massive. Dwarfs the modest heatsink on my Gigabyte EX58-UD5.

Actually is that a fan on the heatsink? (The black bit)

oh and another thing, that heatsink over the VRMs(I think) is a PITA, it makes fitting the cooler vertically to vent out the top of the case impossible, and it makes fitting the 8pin power adaptor bloody tight.

I'll finish cabling it tonight and get some more pictures up. Will also start getting the OS and benchmarks going.
