Lol at fan boys!

I know.

James, the evo is not the best car in the world! I'm really sorry to tell you!

have you even ever driven one? Seriously, how can you love a car this much??? I make less references to my bike than you make about evo's and I actually have that!!

Chill out on the evo front mate, we can tell you like them!

meh evos are crap, If my gf saw an Evo and a lambo i promise you she'd think the evo was just some normal sedan with a tea tray stuck on :p

No but you have to admit it is impressive. I still think an enthusiast could obtain that power better though.

They use such a laggy turbo.

They are impressive yes, but we don't need reminding about it every 3.5 seconds.

Some of us like cars for reasons other that how fast we car get from macdonalds car park to the bridge and back! It ticks the point to point performance box reasonably well, and they are very tunable, but leaves every other box unticked for me! sorry!

Drive an evo, then drive a lambo and then tell me which one you would rather drive, and whether it matters that its not much faster than an evo?

stop moaning, dont read if your going to moan, i was on about how it kept up with the lambo... only thing i wanted to stress to you... people slate them but look at the way it did that, if i saw something else do it i would be impressed and would have shown that instead, but this is what i saw first.

Not that surprising really. I can't see the power/weight ratio being too different? The Lambo is a heavy car.

That example of the turbo lag is crap as well, I assume the car was in 6th gear and was probably struggling to tick over.

Also, I bet the Lambo's service intervals are just as bad, and I bet the tyres are 10x more exspensive too.

The Evo is an awesome car but I think the FQ400 is just a bit ott on the balance between performance and driveability.

Oh yes, and the clutch thing... I'm sure even JC would know that all high performance clutches are like that and will catch you out in a flash of light.

When I had a go of a P1 Impreza with a triple plated clutch, it was bloody hard to get going, easier to just dump it. ;)

OK, fine, I was simply giving you the advice that all this evo pimping frankly is a bit sad, and makes you look that way to the whole forum, tone it down a bit we know you like them!!
Especially when you don't have one, and most probably have never driven one given your age.

The macdonalds comment is pretty true IMO, most cruises I have been near have involved many evo's and racing, normally near a mcdonalds! Its the image evo's have I am afraid! And although your average chav cant afford one, there are plenty of drug dealers and older chavs who can, and do!
For me that is a good enough reason not to consider one, but having driven a couple all I can say is yes, they are very quick, but I would rather drive an MX5  much more fun! And could creat a very long list of what I would spend that kind of money on first!
There is much more to a car than a power to weight ratio and point to point performance. Can you even drive?

Quoted for truth. Give it a rest mate, we know the evo is a seriously amazing car but it's not the be-all and end-all of everything. I'm certain plenty of people on these forums could own one but choose not to for a variety of reasons...
