They have the Evo vs Scooby. Main thing, the subaru has more bhp/ton, not surprising as the evo weighs.....

1540kg!!!!

Also cost difference is massive, £30k for the evo vs £20k.

Both have a pretty lame bhp/ton too :( 182 evo vs 189 subaru.

Hot hatchs have more

Only 182  Even my car had more than that out the factory.

That being based on 280BHP for both I assume?

Evo's tend to be more revered in their higher powered variants don't they? Such as the FQ400 VIII

I imagine a nice 360BHP version will be along shortly, possibly with a bit of weight saved too :p

there are no higher powered versions of the scooby (well not unless you count a car fitted with PPP as a different model)

the S-GT is the first time subary have officially released a car as standard with more than 300bhp. But the S-GT has 310bhp

310BHP?

So the scoob weighs 1640KG?

So, 280BHP 1540KG Evo, vs, 310BHP 1640KG Scoob.

Well, when mitsubishi do release a big power version, all should be well, a 360BHP version would be 234BHP/Ton, similar to an Evo IX 320...

So if you get a S-GT from litchfield, it'll be 310BHP, but Evo tested it at the standard 260BHP that i'm guessing official uk cars will be?

Litchfield are selling it as the S-GT Sport, tweaked to over 300hp, 18in alloys, wider track and revised suspension geometry (probably for UK roads). Car will cost £22995

You mean there are cars in Evo? I got mine and I've yet to see anything but Shell adverts in it.

Lol - I was thinking that too. One of the previous issues (90 something) was the same.

No, the UK models will get a 2.5 with 225bhp.
The jap model is a 2.0 twinscroll turbo with 260bhp, litchfield imports give it an exhaust and remap to get 310bhp. However, that's the WRX not the STi.. I fail to believe the Evo only has 180bhp/ton though

heh:

Evo 3 - 220 bhp/ton :D
Evo x - 182 bhp/ton :p

although obvious better torque/power spread.

Seems the x will be cannon fodder for most hot hatches.

No 4g63 anymore either so will be interesting to see how it handles things when the power gets hiked up

That's seriously heavy...

The S3 is 1455 Kg, for an evo to weigh more, given it's focus, is really quite scary. Makes my BHP per ton very similar too...
