There are studies which show correlation between fear response and political alignment.

Left wingers tend to be less fearful, meaning they tend to be less insular in how they think about politics. It's less about the self and more about the whole. It's not their response to fear: it's that they suffer less fear.
Absolutely - the urge to go to the gym is surely just one manifestation of the "fight-or-flight" response to fear.

You can see this bourne out further in the right-wing response to a lot of things - typical solutions to the Middle East are: we should just be bombing the **** out them all", or "America needs to withdraw from the world".

Lefties crying lol

It's really not hard to get your head round lads

Actually truth be told, it's more right wing lunatics crying and throwing around MUH SOCIALISM, MUH MARXISM.

Basically they sound like a 12 year old who has just ventured onto the internet and read too much /r/the_donald or (insert some other half baked toxic right wing blog).

Queens Speech next Wednesday confirmed, but no deal reached with DUP loonies yet.

I don't think she'll get anything formal. Brown envelopes at the ready to pass the cash under the table. What a mess

Theresa May’s hopes of securing the support of the Democratic Unionist Party for her minority government were faltering last night as the Treasury dug in against the costs of a deal ..

Mrs May faces an internal battle over “bribes” to Northern Ireland. One stumbling block is the “Barnett consequentials” — the system supposed to ensure fair funding for all four nations of the UK.

Downing Street figures want to give funds directly to Northern Ireland as a part of a deal to secure the support of the DUP’s ten MPs. However, the Treasury has warned that higher spending in the province must normally go through the Barnett formula, requiring additional funds for England, Wales and Scotland as well. This makes funding projects in Northern Ireland very expensive, since for every £1 spent there, an additional £35 must be found for the other nations. Although the Barnett formula can be worked round — the government once gave funds direct to Glasgow city council — senior officials and Tory politicians warn that this could create imbalances and cause resentment in Scotland and England.

One source said: “The Treasury feels like it is being bypassed in these discussions. This deal risks failing the smell test and looking like it is nakedly bribing the electorate.”

You haven't read the chart correctly. As far as I can see it's a proportionate breakdown of each group and doesn't say anything about absolute numbers. 100% of 18-19 year olds could vote Labour but if 18-19 year olds comprise 1% of the total voters, that doesn't mean Labour would win 100% of the popular vote.

Very good point, you are correct. I retract what I said. :o

If they went with a minority, opposing parties will likely see it as an opportunity to make the cons seem incompetent by being uncooperative, in the hopes of dealing a blow to the most successful party and dividing up any voters that lose their loyalty.

TBH, that will likely happen regardless.

Tories would need to be more inclusive in their policy proposals. The progressive parties won't generally vote against progressive policy. And there are enough 'Blairites' within Labour to appeal to on a fairly centrist line.

Or do deals piecemeal. 'allow x through and we'll support y'

I think people follow politics more nowdays and people would know they are obstructing for the sake of it.

I do think may should just suck it up and run a minority government. Getting into bed with the DUP and her handing money over to NI for projects (will be the likely deal) will just make the party look bad.

Well trusty would say you cant be benching much at the gym lol

Past what weight so you cross over to being rightwing. I'll make sure I dont go past that.

I don't understand why you're dealing with such absolutes. It's bizarre. I'm not saying there isn't any crossover, but a pattern does get built up

It's a blend isn't it, its not one extreme to the other. For example, within Chimps, the alpha male who is tyrannical and not thinking about the group will have his nuts and skin ripped off, he'll be dead, that's the end of that blood line. The one that caters to the group, looks after the females, builds a male support group will be the leader. This is all basic stuff that translates over to humans a huge amount, naturally we are more complicated though

Like i said before, it's not hard to get youre head around.

100,000 years ago - stronger male/more fearful of enemies
100,000 years ago - weaker male/less fearful of enemies

who would you pick as the leader? If we're dealing with absolutes n all.

What about sit on the fence male, who pounces when weaker make and stronger male have had a good clubbing ? Or two face male who pushes them both of a cliff with cunning and guile when then both went for a mammoth kill ?
