I'd like to see Vince in charge of the Lib-Dems. Not sure if they can stomach being in another Tory led coalition though. We really need some sensible politicians back in charge, it's not a game.

They could however offer the same supply and confidence as DUP, but with a far more acceptable face
In reality I only think cooaliting works when numbers are similar so similar weight can be found with monifestos
The last Con-LD was really just Con light at the end of the day

The interesting thing is - or atleast so David Laws claims heh - many of the policies put into place under that coalition were Lib Dem ones with some minor tweaks by the Tories.

Does it matter though when literally once that is over, that the Tories can basically delete it all and it never really happened?

Thats not progressive, thats a pile of rotting crap, a pile of rotting crap that plebians enjoy throwing at eachother while the rich-landlord MP's laugh at them.

May have already been posted but I found the yougov poll really interesting.

https://yougov.co.uk/news/2017/06/13/how-britain-voted-2017-general-election/

Age was already brought up before, but the age at which you're more likely to vote conservative than Labour is an interesting one - 47. That's not far off retirement age for some people, and you'd hope with up to 30 years working experience people understand how the world works. The adage that people voted conservative due to experience doesn't seem to be quite as clear cut there.

Employment was also an interesting one. The only status where people were more likely to vote conservative than labour was if you were retired.

What I also found interesting was the Lib Dem scores. They are exceptionally consistent throughout most of the demographics (excluding newspaper readership). There's a slight decrease as you get older, but not huge, and employment status was fairly consistent too.

Funny, I will be 47 in a few months and yet have just done exactly the opposite, switching voting from Blue to Red

I don't understand why you're dealing with such absolutes. It's bizarre. I'm not saying there isn't any crossover, but a pattern does get built up

Like i said before, it's not hard to get youre head around.

100,000 years ago - stronger male/more fearful of enemies
100,000 years ago - weaker male/less fearful of enemies

who would you pick as the leader? If we're dealing with absolutes n all.
The point that always gets lost is that we're no longer tribal hunter gatherers fighting wars with spears. Anthropology is all well and good but you can't look at it and try to apply what made sense 100,000 years ago to what is happening now without any further thought.

Cameron should join the Lib Dems, run for leader and stand in the (probably) upcoming election.

What if you would have been weak but for excessive steroid abuse? So many grey areas, I just can't get my head around it. If only upper body strength applies when considering political leanings is that why so many of the weight lifting BNP types that frequented my previous gym clearly made a point of skipping leg day? Were they afraid increased leg muscle would turn them into commies?

May doing well....

Corbyn clawed it back from a similar position, of course :D

this strength argument is literally the dumbest thing i've ever read.. i'm disappointed in myself to have even justified it with a response.

p.s. i bench like 1000k so being a leader you should take my advice and STFU. ;)

She won't last long. Its amazing how quickly things have turned on her. Before the election it seemed like all the right wingers and media loved her.

When she didn't do as well as expected her voters turned on her, her party turned on her but most of all the Media turned on her. The front pages literally went from 'Strong and Stable' .... 'Tough but fair' to Weak and wobbly and deluded and divy.

I remember before the election the Daily Mail was trying to sell the dementia tax as 'tough but fair' and now its saying she was stupid before putting it in her manifesto.... Well which is it?!

History is filled with Fat old men sending fit young men to die, so i imagine in our present stupid rhetoric filled situation, these fit "young" men are willing to send actual fit young men to die for their own Sun/Daily mail filled hate.
