Expensive mistakes you've made because of stupidity

Why did it cost so much to fix a cable?

Airbus get ripped off for everything lol.

also its inside the fuel tanks so has to b perfect.

but the company that makes the looms is a rip off £800 call out charge for a job that even i could do.

Does it only count for stuff iv had to pay for?

If not i broke a rosemount transmitter at work then on its replacement the cover "somehow" got crossthreaded :/ so outcame the slitting disk and yeah i believe the bill totally for that came to just over £1500

For me.. Stupid mistakes buying various stuff i don't need or use. My biggest ones my contract though i didn't do my math before upgrading and its ended up costing me an extra £560 over the course of two and a half years :(

Much against my better judgement i just ordered a korean version Galaxy S5 G906 from a korean ebay seller for around £360

Watch this space, i may be joining the club soon!

STAY AWAY FROM THE SAMSUNG 337 CHAT!!! It's been touted as a smart phone (and does'y look bad for fourty quid but the internet's crap and try getting apps for it). Phones4U didn't do refunds.

Not my mistake, but I watched a man on a motorbike overtake me at over 100mph.

You can guess the rest, that was the most expensive mistake you can get.

PS his head was mush in his helmet.

A bit OT but some people don't ask, plead or beg to be wrapped around lamp posts, they DEMAND IT!! Walking home from work once and some guy on a motorbike though he was Street Hawk or in a Mad Max film by doing a wheelie, at high speed with engine roaring on his motorbike and then there was some right Terry ****witt who had his bike between his legs, can of Stella in one hand and his mobile in the other

Printing a local newspaper with a free Page 1 heading early one morning. Page 1 should have been a limited run of 1k, but it got mixed up with the proper page 1, ended going on press and 59k got printed.:eek::eek:

I made a similar mistake buying a Chinese S5. Full of Chinese bloatware, and no Google Play to download apps. Took a lot of time to flash it to a decent UK version, and now no warranty.

My costly mistake was when I moved permanently to China - I managed to sell most of my stuff in UK, and took a massive bag of clothes and other stuff to a charity shop. Only somehow I managed to lose my new Oakley sunglasses, and can only presume they ended up in the charity shop. £120 sunglasses mistakenly given to a charity shop. I hope they went for a lot of money.

I have an iPhone 4 and simply cannot understand why anyone would need upgrading from that.... not for hundreds of pounds anyway!

My other half has an iPhone 4s, I have a 5c, when I'm sat by her using mine which doesn't freeze periodically and is generally much much quicker, there is your answer.

One of my big opps moments was turning my truck around in a tight space and clipping a then brand new 911!

My daughter had her then new iPhone for about a month prior to dropping it down the toilet, shes still tied to the contract for another 13months!

Not buying a house up the road from me several years ago which went up in value to such a degree that I could have sold it now, bought my current home outright and had a nice amount of cash to play with.

Live and learn!

As for mistake, buying a trial bike with nobbly 'road' tyres.
