Explain to me why Kasabian aren't the worst band..

...in the world. I really think they might be. Just watching them live at Isle of Wight and they're absolutely terrible. The lyrics may also be the worst I've ever heard. However, they have a huge audience, so maybe I'm just missing why they're so popular. Please explain? :)

Couldn't agree more. Ruby? What a useless, horrible, rubbish song. Hate them. However, I look at Kings of Leon (who emerged around the same time I think) and they're so good, but don't get as much (still quite big though) attention and wonder what is wrong with the world.

Now Paulo Nuttini is on, who sings like he's had a stroke yet people are loving it?! Oddness.
 
I thought the first album was great, still listen to it now every now and again

Then they dissapeared up their own arses, shame really

What one person loves another hates and vice-versa.

It would be a pretty boring world if everybody liked the same thing.
 
I saw them headline V in 2006, absolutely terrible imo. Editors (who were on before them) were so much better. Didn't seem like most of the crowd were into it either, the whole gig just seemed abit tiresome.

Haha. I don't really like The Kaiser Chiefs but Ruby is actually a really good song IN MY OPINION. You like the Kings of Leon, I'm not too fond of them. They're not that great IN MY OPINION. You think Paulo Nuttini sings like he's had a stroke.. His voice is fantastic IN MY OPINION.

You wonder what's wrong with the world because people have a different musical taste to yourself? :rolleyes:

This post is so pointless, you may aswell have it as a footnote to every post in the music forum...it's kind of assumed, so you're just pointing out the obvious. Now go away and let us force our opinions on others, it's what makes the music forum fun! And Kasabian are bloody awful. But I will say that I think Kaiser Chiefs have written some good pop dittys.

Are you joking? I watched them at Staffs and the crowd was amazing. At the end the crowd were singing LSF for at another 10mins but matching over to the radiohead stage still singing it.

Anywho I like them a lot, the second album isn't the best but it's got gems like Stuntman on :cool:
 
I can't stand Kasabian or Razorlight, Kaiser Chiefs arn't as bad but all of these bands are way up their own asses. Its the way the lead singers act on stage, they seem to think they are the greatest band in the world.

What really annoyed me was during V-festival, when channel 4 decided to show nearly the whole set of Kasabian and only show about 4 songs from Radiohead!
 
Kings Of Leon shouldn't be mentioned in the same post as bands like Kasabian, they are a class above, Kasabian are not very good at all. Alas, everybody has their preferences.
 
I really like them... the worst bands are kings of Leon for their unbearable screeching and Wolfmother - I have to constantly listen to this carp in the office and it makes baby Jesus cry...:D

Finally someone gets it! I'm always whinged at for not putting in my opinion after every bloody thing.

I agree with you on the Kaisers too. Can't stand Ruby but I think some of their stuff is OK.

...and that is exactly how it should be. Radiohead went rubbish right after the Bends, and have only been worse since.

I saw these guys last year at Download (went to see because I'd never heard them before)...they were absolutely terrible. Pretentious, boring, self important cack... one dude on the guitar/bass and another on keyboard with a drummer does not a good band make.
