Extracting a custom wallpaper from an OS .img file - Vista

Hi guys,

I have 3 Macrium image files with my old Vista OS's in them and I want to extract the wallpaper/s that I used on them. I know the default store for the built-in ones is windows/web/wallpapers but my custom backgrounds were added by right-clicking on the file and setting as background.

Any ideas on how (where) I'd find them in the .img files?

Somewhere like this, perhaps?

X:\Users\<name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes\TranscodedWallpaper.jpg

Isn't there a registry key that has the path of the current wallpaper?

I open the image and just looked for *.jpg - found what I was after almost instantly
