Extreme cooling choice! What would you do?

Ok, so I'm finally going to building my dream system. But I have an important choice to make. I'm either going to:

Get a watercooled conroe rig with the BFG 8800GTX watercooled edition.

OR

Get a conroe rig with a vapochill unit and a regular 8800GTX (probably EVGA)

What would you do? /Opinions please :)

I'd go for the watercooling as I heard on another forum that vapochills can be noisy, also water cooling is pretty good and looks cool.

Not sure conroes perform staggeringly better on vapo. I'd go water, cheaper and cools the graphics, with a similar (same?) conroe oc.

vapo is great if you dont mind the noise and the huge startup times. used to turn mine on and go make coffee while it cooled down :)
water on the otherhand will cool more than just the cpu.
could always have both ;)

Get a mach 2 they are a bit quieter :D

lol! I'm stretching the purse strings pretty far as it is :p Thanks all for your comments. Truth be told, if any shop in the UK (never mind OCuk) had the Swiftech Apex Ultra kit in stock then i'd have bought my system by now. Been waiting ages for more stock to appear :/ I'm not sure I'd want to sacrifice boot time and noise for the extra cooling as comes with Vapo tbh, looks like it's a W/C system for me

why not go for a custom watercooling setup rather than waiting on apex ultra, then you can have better equipment and allow for quieter fans and is not too much more.

Conroes LOVE cold. Should get an easy 4ghz 24/7 stable under phase, with a decent CPU certainly closer to 4.2.
It depends whether you can live with the extra noise and the worry of condensation or not.
Water is probably the safer option, but the GTX will certainly lap up the extra CPU speed and more :)

What mobo, CPU and ram are you going with? That might dictate the best form of cooling for you :)

For gaming I would go for the watercooled option. The higher clocks attainable on the 8800gtx will be more usefull than the extra clocks on the vapochilled conroe. If I had the cash I would get both. ;)

The Mach 2GT is pretty quiet. Start up times are not that bad and worrying about condensation is as much a worry as watercooling leaking. After a while you stop caring. And I wouldn't say water is "safer" than phase at all!

You can get dual or even triple head cascade cooling, or waterchillers but that's getting silly.
