Now get a refund because it is only over 3 months old and broken.
Contact vendor, send the whole thing back with the new bracket (not the glued one). The story is not over yet because you paid for a faulty product and haven't been reimbursed.
Hm, it did not occur to me that I could apply for a refund... I thought refunds are only given within something like 2 weeks after purchase?
Sent an email to the vendor anyway, lets see what happens now.
Time to revive this! I have just found my freezer pro sitting on a cracked frame
The pooey part is... the machine it went in has sat since Febuary of last year and it has never been powered up in anger! So the cooler was new lol. how the hell can something break just by sitting around? they can argue it was heat.. IT WAS NEVER ON LOL!
Im so wee'd off right now! I have to suss something out quick sharp.
Yeh, its terrible...
Vendor replaced my Freezer7 rev2 cooler with a brand new one last year (which was good of them- I had it for 3 months), and I just sold the replacement on fleabay as it was - brand new in packaging. With 2 spare brackets that Arctic sent me to replace the first broken replacement. I lost all trust in it completely...
Imo, replacing it with a cooler that has steel bracket is the best solution. Sucks that you have several of these things
So much for lots of glowing reviews on big competitor site...
Well I have found a temp solution! Fished out an old stock Q6600 intel cooler, got rid of the carp plastic pushpins. Found a backplate and some screws, springs and washers. Its a cludge but it will work
