Just snagged one of these. This is the second one I've got accroding to Stanford's Contribution Page. I must have missed the first one somwhere along the line.

Yeah, my P4s love the big DG WUs too. I don't think there's anything special to get them. Probably just -advmethods.

What was your flag/bigpackets setup to get that?

Just -forceasm and -verbosity 9 ... that's not one of my advanced method boxes as I run both the Core and LCPU on it. It only has 1GB of ram as well, nothing fancy at all. I was just supprised at the ppd .. but that may tail off after it starts crunching it a bit more.

Just checked and Ive done 3, dunno what computer, but the best machines spec wise are only P4 2.8 with 512mb ram.

FahMon keeps it's own benchmarks, that is where the info is from, allthough the Min time in 2.0.3 doesnt work for some WU's.

Let's see, I've got 58 boxes right now. If each got 339 ppd I'd be looking at 19,662 ppd. I could definitely live with that.

I'll admit this p2390 gives a very good ppd considering it's running on a 2.5Ghz X2, but i was hoping for a bit more , the down side is waiting till monday night for it to complete

If my 2 boxes keep picking up these big pointers, i'll be catching up Mattus that little bit quicker

True, they're good compared to normal WUs! But some of the other DGromacs give me 360-380ppd, and the ideal situation for me is the 364-pointers which are worth about 430ppd. I guess I'm just spoilt (Although I only have one rig which gets any WUs crunched, the other is always in use for my brother's games!)

I was planning on picking up a dual-core Opteron but no way I can afford one at the moment Plan B is to get a Pentium-M laptop out of my parents to use at Uni. I don't go until October, but you gotta get prepared in good time

Had a constant stream of these Gromacs, a shade under 400 PPD on my X2, thats 760PPD!

Just returned the 1112 pointer in the last couple of hours..

Completed in 74 hrs 50 mins exact, on main X2 rig going 24/7 which results in 356.64ppd.

Very nice.. but i def wouldn't like to try that on a lower speed processor
