F1 Testing 2019: Week 1 Barcelona (18th - 21st)

That's the race lap record, comparing those doesn't really give us much. Seb's fastest test time (although from T2 and on Hypers) was 1:17.182. Lewis' pole lap time from last year was 1:16.173. Fernando holds the track's fastest lap time at 1:14.6 back in 2006.

Yup, although Alonso's 2006 time isn't relevant anymore really as track layout changed and they introduced a chicane for safety.

More sensors than bodywork.

Ferrari's new paint job looks a lot better on track than it did on launch.

I really hope reliability doesn't hit him hard again this season. I'd love to see him battling with Verstappen when they're not in the same team considering what went on last year.

Hasn't he come out and said how Baku was handled was the main influence on his decision to leave RBR?

Speaking about the factors that prompted his decision, Ricciardo said:
“I couldn’t tell you how many little pieces made up the puzzle, the kaleidoscope, but I guess that [Baku] was one of the little pieces.

“We both got a talking to, putting it politely, but in my eyes, I felt like I was not really in the wrong even though I was the one that hit him. I think most people saw the double move.

“Even before that, there was a lot of contact and I think a lot of people thought it went on too long.

"I guess the way it was handled at the time didn’t sit too well with me, so that was like a little thing that bothered me. But it wasn’t the dealbreaker, if you know what I mean.”

Really hope Renault have a car to challenge for podiums this year, Hulk and Ricciardo are my personal favourite drivers on the grid.

Hulkenberg has been forgotten about a bit, but imo both are easily WDC material and have been unlucky so far not to have landed WDC contending drives.

Really looking forward to Leclerc challenging Seb too and seeing how Seb handles it, he surely has to bounce back this season.

Certainly feels like Ferrari have an advantage at the start of this season, same as the previous two.

Just how big of an advantage will be very interesting. If it's significant then Leclerc may well be allowed to battle for race wins, if it's tighter then likely we'll see team orders in play.
This wasn't an issue really with Kimi as he often unperformed on a Saturday and didn't kick up a fuss on a Sunday either when Seb needed to move past, but I suspect Charles will qualify much better.
