Anyone have the news or details for what's happening next year?
Is it all handed to Sky or will the BBC still get some live races?

BBC has the whole F1 season in 2013 according to what's been shown on the TV.

Excellent!

edit: Actually it didn't say whether it was live or not. :(

They said all the races were on the BBC. No mention of Live, I would imagine its the same format as its been this year.

Thought Sky kept the F1 channel advert free?

All the press for the new channel rather worryingly stated "All races live and uninterrupted in 2012", leading to a widely held suspicion that we may get adverts next year.

They won't be able to do it during the races the BBC have as everyone would just turn over, but the other 10 may get adverts :(

They will be, Skeeter just over complicates things cause they said when getting the deal F1 would be advert free in 2012, he takes that as adverts in 2013.

With the amount of times they showed the Sure advert it seems they don't really have advertisers beating down the door to pay for slots in F1.

They do have adverts during the waffle stages of the F1 broadcasts before the race, as well as during the smaller programs when F1 isn't happening. If they don't keep the FIA broadcast advert free there would be hell to pay seeing as a lot of people upgraded to HD for it.

Jake Humphrey just said the whole season was live on the BBC?

Anyone know what is going on?

i think he's alluding to the Radio 5 Live coverage of every race. They also say the same thing about 'live' coverage of other sports when all they have is the updating 'Live' Text Commentary! :p

Adverts would only be before and after the races if any, just like the football.

You can't compare it to Football. There's always half-time, F1 can go on for up to 2 hours..

Anyone heard anymore about Sky adding sport to their PAYG type streaming service? There's just films at the moment but they said sport would come later in 2012.

Wouldn't mind paying a few quid for the races not live on the BBC.
