Essentially, the entire game of Fable II is being split into 5 chunks to make downloadable episodes from the marketplace. The first one is free whilst the other ones will cost points.

No details on the costs of the other episodes yet but I have a feeling it (collectively) will probably cost more than it does to simply buy a retail copy of Fable II.

Interesting idea, nice to give people a chance to play an episode free. I've got the game though so I assume there is no difference?

It was a massive let down, very boring due to them making it impossible for you to die. Zzzzzzzzzzzz

I bought it on day of release (I don't do this very often at all) as Fable was one of my favourite games. Think I played Fable II for about 10 hours and I had to really make myself try to get into it.... but it's just boring as hell.

One of my fav games of all time, I friking love the game and played it through several times. Just wish there was a difficulty setting, cos its far to easy... a must buy imo!

To counter Chong Warrior's opinion. Yes, it's great. It's a lot of fun and although it is quite easy there's plenty of content there to keep you digging deeper.

And you can have a threesome.

Cool idea. would have worked better at launch rather than a year later.

Kinda like getting a free month of WoW. Get them hooked then they'll pay to continue.

I enjoyed it, for a bit. But it was a let down for me. Very repetetive, annoying music when you're fighting, annoying 'features' which make the whole town love you (including men) within about 3 minutes, boring jobs, boring travelling with no real opportunity to explore wide open areas, annoying dog.

I completed it, but was disappointed.

I doubt this will be cheaper than the sub £20 you can buy the whole game for so seems a bit pointless to do it as episodes but nice to give people a chunk of it free to try it out..

I downloaded and played through Ep1 last night.
Enjoyed it felt abit like an extended demo. I never bought it on release caseu i was under a weight of games.
This time round....... another weight of games is just around the corner.
If its cheap I may buy Ep2 if they are released before the big rush of games....
But they had better be quick
