Facebook Fail

Looks like Facebook is down at the moment. I'd noticed problems with it yesterday (over and above the general slowness of the site)...

I do find two things odd about this:

1. The importance that some people regard certain websites in relation to their daily lives (very sad in my opinion)

2.The lack of resiliance from Facebook who are a global corporation - Is this a lack of investment in the infrastructure?

It's working fine for me. Have you tried reinstalling it?

Hmm.... All I'm getting is the 'maintenance' page - Couple of friends are getting this too...

Looks like the server hosting you is down??? Strange they don'tt have fail over? Maybe it's not maintenance and someone has broken something! lol

My profiles quite large and attracts a lot of users due to my occupation and FB has become quite rubbish as times gone on.

Messages wont delete, inbox wont load at times, events, friend requests etc wont go.

I stopped getting updated when someone writes on my wall, or get updated hours later.

Thats just the start :/

Working fine for me. I have had problems on/off with FB for over 3 weeks now though with pages not loading properly or not loading at all.

What I find funny is your point about the importance to some people, yet here you are making a thread about not being able to logon.

But I didn't say that it's an important part of my daily life. It seems that there are people who simply cannot do without it though.

I'm not really fussed. I only really use it for the pool and scrabble anyway.

I use FB occaisionally as others post pictures etc on there and its always crap. I keep getting errors on some peoples profiles buy not on others. Some pages wont load but others will and sometimes the site wont load at all. get the impression it has too many users

I keep noticing half of people images never load up.
