Is there a way you can have status updates on only the people you want them from? I'm sick of reading " Wishes he/she was in xxxx place", and all the crap like that from people I couldn't really care about. I only want to have status updates from people I choose, is there a way to do this? :)

I've looked in "Settings" at the top of the page and it wasn't in there. Any help would be much appreciated. :)

On the friends page put people into groups, then after on the feed page select that group from the left hand menu.

You can hide updates from specific people. Find one of their status updates and hover over the right hand side of it. A "hide" button will appear. Click that and it will give you the option to hide that person's posts. I know it works - I did it on Monday :p

I bet Monday will not be pleased to find you have hidden his updates.

Next time you get a post you don't like, there should be options around the Hide button that 'mouses-over' in the top right corner of it. You can then select whether to recieve notifications from that person or not.

Facebook related question - has anybody been invited to that dislike button function? I think it's written by somebody from Israel (?). Is there any way to get that app. without spamming everybody first?

Fake, like those stupid "Join this group and when we get 2 billion members x will not happen"

Why have them as a friend if you don't want to hear about them? Are you one of these with 600 friends?

Because, although I genuinely like the person in question, I get fed up opening my home page on FB and seeing that 80% of the updates on there are X is listening to blah or X is watching bleh - it means I have to open another page to see what the rest of my friends are saying. He is a Facebook spammer of the highest order and rarely says anything even remotely interesting in his updates.

There is a dislike plugin for firefox. Only downside is that nobody will see you've disliked something unless they have the plugin as well.
