Fake ebay Email?? yes no what do you think?

totally faked... well I think so, and if I got that message it would be in my deleted items straight away

Yeah i looked at the addy and was 75% sure it was fake but just wanted to get some OcUK feedback lol.

Very proffesional looking scam, look out chaps !
 
A safe way to check would be to log into your eBay account as if its a genuine email it'll be there in your messages.

Saying that, it reeks of fake to me.
 
ebay will never refer to you by your email address...always by your full registered name, or user name. i've also noticed that anything (except for "auctions ending soon" notices) gets cc'd to my messages in my ebay.

if ebay sends you an official email, it wiill be from an ebay.co.uk/.com/.whatever and your user ID will be there
 
It's legit, send them your account details and password. It'll speed up the process if you send your Paypal username and password, plus any credit card numbers you frequently use in connection with Paypal.

Thanks i did as you said i already feel safer.
 
clicking on the url goes to a site bearing the ebay secure connection data certificate.

similarly, i put xxxxxx and xxxxxxx in the username and password boxes respectively and it said not valid :)
