Fallout: New Vegas what a dissapointment :(

I think you're playing the game wrong. I only just got to Las Vegas after about 15 hours play through. Much more fun to intersperse the main quest with random exploring and side quests.

FO3 was just as long? the whole point is to do side quests, explore etc!
if you ran through FO3 like you clearly have done with vegas, you would have never of seen the alien crash site, the oasis, hidden vaults etc....whilst i havent played NV yet im sure their are many similar hidden gems that reward exploration and taking your time.
complaining about an open ended game being short is a bit silly as your kinda missing the point.
i remember plowing a good 50 hours into FO3 and was only near the end, infact i was so into exploring, side quests that i didnt even no what the main quest was about untill i got to the water chamber!

How did you finish the game so quickly? I dont have the game myself as yet. But surely RPG's should be played slowly to enjoy the enviroment and side quests and different locations.
Normaly a game main story is about 8 hours every game I have played apart from a few rts games are this long even Starcraft 2 was only just under 9hr's long
as for new vagas i'm 20hr's in not even got to the strip yet and I'm level 20 done a ton of dungeons and side quests I'd say i'v done 45% of the side stuff so there should be another 20hr's

Well i guess im gonna have to start again and just do the side quest and take the long way around. Because before i just walked into places and killed them if i didnt like them for instance when i discoverd the brotherhood of steel i helped them out for a couple of quests then decided to kill them all, collect there keycards and blow up there base :S

Yes i'm sure you were... Fallout 3 was capped at 20, Broken Steel increased it to 30. Unless you somehow installed an uncapper mod without knowing it you were not lvl34.
It was announced to be 30. Whether they intend to increase it to 40 with DLC or whether they actually put a little bit of effort into balancing it for lvl30 (which i highly doubt) is yet to be seen. Probably neither.

I had it at the start of the game and havent had it since thankfully.
Your wrong there mate the level cap is definitely higher than level 30 and level 34 is definitely possible

Er, are you talking about FO3 or FONV? Because if its FO3 you are badly mistaken... higher than 30 is not possible without mods.
