First i've heard, do you have anymore information on this? If you are talking about the 08+ Accord then I know nothing about those but maybe they started building them in Swindon, all previous shape Accords were built in Japan. The OP mentioned 06 so its irrelevant.

The 03 Accord had a facelift in 06 so the one you noticed at that year should be a facelift, worth checking.
Personally i'd have an Accord over a Mondeo, I think they look a lot nicer, fair enough the Mondeo is the quicker car and all the positives that come with a V6 engine but the Accords K24 is brilliant for a 4 cylinder engine and doesnt need its neck wringed to deliver all its power as it has a lower red line and more linear power delivery compared to the other DOHC VTEC's

Depends on what suits your driving style really

the focus estate or hatch? If hatch then agree, but the estate is more than big enough (something I am looking at myself at the moment!).
