Fancy a challenge? Vista install looking for a driver

If you are not using raid then you don't need any drivers during the install of Vista, Vista will install withou loading drivers if you are using AHCI or Standard IDE/SATA.

There is however a bug with the Vista install, if the HDD's are not partitioned then Vista can throw a fit, try using your XP disk to partition and format the HDD, when, and if, you get to the partition/format part of the Vista install just delete and format the HDD.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply, I've actually managed to install vista useing a USB DVD Drive. still having trouble with the internal drive. Starting to think this is probably more hardware than software based.
