[Subject has been hit on a fair bit...but I think there're a fair few people using the 2405/360 combo]

Get the official VGA cable...I've tried 2 unofficial ones and it has been a grey mess. Finally got the official one and got it right. Bear in mind I tweaked at the secret factory menu, which I did in complete terror...you can really screw up your screen in there...I suppose overclockers will be familiar with the fear though. Here're some pics:

Got the black blacks, lurid whites, VGA crispness and component colour. I realise the screen is backlit, but this isn't to emphasize blacks...I'm looking at the pics through DVI on the 2405 and they seem representative.
Playing in 1280x768...remember PGR3 is 1024x600 with no AA or some such nonsense. Images are untouched, warts and all...either I'm ghosting-tolerant or thats not so bad in person.

Bear in mind the camera distorts the colour somewhat...and you'll probably tell me the colours are too vivid...I'm still finetuning. The point is I've got the colour and detail back on VGA, so its possible...if you have the right cable and don't mind messing with the VGA on your 2405 to the point that it is tailored to only the 360.
Case in point, on VGA my contrast is now 100 and the brightness 0, I also brought down the colour offsets significantly. Every 2405 is different and has a different factory preset (or such is my belief), so I won't detail my exact values...suffice to say, if you aren't fairly confident you can get it right with your own eyes...don't even try. The values seem to wander too, so sometimes noting them so you can change them back won't do much good. People may have luck with other screens too...but the 2405 does seem to have more adjustability than most.

As for dissenters of my vivid colours...have you been outside today? :p

Yeah, I've been using component in 720p thus far...great colours and detail, but quite aliased. Whether that means the quality is so high all the flaws show, or just the panel handling the component signal badly I'm not sure.

Oddly, both VGA and component give me a slight green tinge at the top of the screen (only visible on the blade and some loading screens)...maybe I've got a slight flaw in my panel.

Any chance of letting me know how to access this "secret" menu please

Yeah, but I don't know how to get rid of it again!

-=Paste disclaimer here=-

Whilst holding menu and +, turn on the screen...then look in Factory Reset.
