FAO Fox: Buying a E39 530i Sport

Fox, great post and certainly not helping my e39 want which will have to wait until I leave Oz at this stage!

However, this part made little sense:

Surely leather is pretty much one of the easiest retrofits?

If you want to spend all day and 500 quid fitting a scabby eBay interior then sure :p

@ Fox.

What route are you taking around Scotland on your trip?

I'm off on a Tour D'Ecosse at the end of May for a cheeky 1000 mile, 3-day, round trip and it would be good to see where you're heading.

Around Glasgow, up the A82 to Fort William and Inverness then back down the A9 to Edinburgh :)

That is awesome photoshopping
Pretty simple photoshopping to be honest.

I would take out the cable, crop out the curb and maybe add some flowers to the pillars on the wall.

I think the highest praise I can offer for the E39 is that if mine was written off tommorrow I'd buy another one (Believe me, I've been over this so many times!). There simply isn't anything for £20k or less I'd rather own. I'd like an F10 M Sport (or perhaps an F30 328i M Sport?) but they are still very expensive. So I hope to continue to enjoy the E39 for some time to come :)

This, bar the fact my brain can't get around the x28i 4 cylinderness :(

Indeed, pressing backspace and choosing "content aware" is a massive skill :D:p

Ahhh cool.

I highly recommend when coming back from Inverness that you leave the A9 at Carrbridge then take the A939 over the Cairngorms down to Ballater then turn right and head past Braemar then join the A9 back North of Perth.

A939 is a cracking road!!!!

We're heading West of Aberdeen to meet at the Green Welly, then off to Prtree (Skye) for the first night, all teh way up to Thurso on the 2nd day/night, then back to Aberdeen. Let's both hope the weather holds up!
