Well I hope OcUK will be getting these in, I would like to purchase one.
The OCZ ModXStream Series is a new line of power supplies designed to offer consumers a combination of OCZ’s legendary PSU architecture and an efficient modular cable management system. Available in 780W and 900W models, the high efficiency ModXStream offers the industry’s highest performing modular power supplies on the market.

As a gamer or case modder, modular cabling is a necessity when building a cool and orderly system. To optimize airflow and eliminate cable mazes, the ModXStream power supply is equipped with EZMod technology to allow complete customization of your power system by utilizing only the cables you require.

The ModXStream was engineered to be the quietest PSU available so gamers can hear their games and not their PC. Kept ultra-cool with a load-controlled 120mm fan, the powerful ModXStream still remains virtually silent and supremely cool even at peak loads.

Next generation platforms and high performance graphics cards are essential to modern gamers and enthusiasts. Complete with 2(780W)/4(900W) PCI-Express cables and six serial ATA connectors, the rock solid ModXStream is built to provide sufficient output to power demanding GPU and setups. With a sustained output of 780W or 900W and four +12V rails to provide uniform distribution of power, the ModXStream is the superlative solution for and driving today's higher end systems.

The OCZ ModXStream provides Universal Input and Active PFC (Power Factor Correction) to effectively regulate input voltage across worldwide power grids and maintain an economical, yet stable supply of power.

All OCZ ModXStream power supplies come backed with an industry-leading three year OCZ PowerSwap Warranty for the ultimate peace of mind.

I'm thinking of getting rid of my gamexstream 700w due to it being the noisiest component in my pc wonder if these will be any quieter or just the same. I thought it might be bad luck me getting a noisy one but this is my second and its the same as the first.

Thats one of a few selling points for me, I just hope it really is that quiet as they say in the above quote, I will take that chance - I've been waiting for a decent high wattage modular PSU to come out, I just didnt fancy going for the Enermax.

I got rid of my 600w GameXstream because it was noisy :( It was the loudest thing in my pc

Never had any issues with previous OCZ psu's i've had though

Yeah GameXtremes are noisy, I have one :(

I wouldn't touch this PSU untill some reliable reviews come out, the old modstreams rails were not exactly steady.

Agreed only the original Powerstreams were of really much cop...

With a marketing tagline like that if they are noisy then you do have a chance of returning the PSU ;)

ps3ud0

Don't think mine was an older one, bought it about 5 or so months ago.

Depends on the noise levels in your PC, but my PSU was the loudest thing in my case.

Personally, I would rather have a Tagan/Enermax (unless you are using DFI) /Seasonic/Corsair PSU than a OCZ.

Can't wait to get rid of mine.

H'mm well I would still like to try one all the same, I'm not going to stereotype a PSU just because of previous model(s), maybe they have corrected any issues that they had with the gameXstreams, will be interesting all the same.

My 600watt GameXstream has done some good service and seems pretty stable - its not exactly very quiet - but neither is it overly noisey... as I have probably 19-20 fans going in my room from just 2 PCs its not much of a problem heh...
