FAO: Muncher, RE Removing scratches from lenses

Muncher, I seem to remember a little while back you had some scratches on your tail lights which you removed yourself.

I'm guessing you had to go through the anti-scratch coating on them, to remove the scratch completely. I've got a pair of 2nd hand headlights for my Prelude, and the anti-scratch coating has started flaking off, so i've sanded it back and polished it up, but it's scratching like anything.

When you did your lights, did you put any anti-scratch coatings etc on it?

The short answer, no, I didn't put any anti scratch coatings on them I just waxed them afterwards

Mr rear lights are perfect, the fronts which have a coating on them and maybe are made out of a different material have room for improvement still.
