Howso?
It's on the OBC screen..

Have you never used a BMW satnav system  The graphics look nothing like that unless you do not fit (or have a broken) nav computer, in which case it fails over to the TV tuner which renders the graphics.

That's what they looked like on the old 4:3 system.
I didn't realise that's what happens when it fails though.

You've waited six long years for someone to ask that question so you can post that pic haven't you? ;):p:D

I've posted it more times than I care to remember! - needs to be in the FAQ..... :p

Horribly shiney seats and wheel and yet another with a broken nav computer.

The older nav software on my original Mk3 looked like that when I got it, it's not broken - look at the 'TMC' text at the bottom which wouldn't be there without a working nav computer. It just needs an update to the later software with the updated mk3 UI you and Jez are used to seeing. It didn't look like that when the car was produced in 2001.

Might explain why some of the range rovers i am seeing have that same interface then. I assumed it was a difference in the computers used when sharing the system with LandRover, perhaps they can be updated?

Yes you can update the Land Rover ones with later BMW nav computers/software but you lose the point to point off road navigation.
