Hi,

I don't want to get ripped off and of course I will phone around but how much did it cost you per alloy and what was the extent of the damage?

Do they look brand new or does a closer inspection reveal that they have been refurbished?

Thanks. :)

When a tyre shop managed to take a huge chunk out of my alloy they paid for a company to have it repaired. I saw the invoice and it was £25 + VAT. I would assume that was a trade rate though. The wheel looked perfect afterwards and I couldn't tell where the damage had previously been.

I paid £20 to have a kerb marked removed and that part of the wheel blended to match the paint. You can see where its blended if you look really closely, but if you didn't know it was there you wouldn't spot it. Usual rate where I went is £30 to do the wheel properly, and then you'd never know it was done.

I paid £76.38 a wheel inc. VAT at Lepsons in Gillingham, Kent. Expensive, but they did a fantastic job, applying a very thick layer of lacquer, and were very accommodating; driving me back to the train station once I'd dropped off my car in the morning.

Lepsons have quite a good reputation, and their car park often contains plenty of high-end machinery.

Where are you located?

Top Marquees in Fenton, Stoke-On-Trent are great, and charge about £40 per wheel, the end result is flawless.

Preston, so quite a long way down but now that you mention it I might go there instead when I next pop down to OcUK. :)
