Fastish 1TB of data

Just a quick question, is there such thing as a 1TB Sata drive with 64MB cache and 7200RPM speed? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Or am I best off with a WD Green?

The cache size doesn't matter. Quickest 7200rpm disk is the F3.

Not strictly true, but 32mb seems like the norm OP for a mechanical disk.

The RPM will make a difference, as will the firmware and your power settings when it comes to spinning up and so on. It depends what you're using the disk for. If you're really after something speedy (and there's really not much in it when it comes to 7200RPM 1TB drives), the advice above of the F3 is sound. I have an F1 and it reads at around 100 mb/s, which is very pleasing!

Pedantry. No performance difference between 16 and 64, let alone 32 and 64.
